Status of campaigns and flights

Brand Central provides multiple status options for campaigns, flights and other important elements within a campaign. In principle, every item can have its own status and when a new item is created, it automatically inherits the status from its parent item, e.g. flights from campaigns and so on. An inherited status can be overwritten on e.g. flight level but also pushed to a whole set of flights from campaign level using the PTF (push-to-flight button).

The following status are available:

Icon Status Description
in planning status Planning The item is in planning stage and not yet approved by e.g. client. The data on this item (campaign, flight, creative, …) can only be seen by you and the approving party but not by others e.g. publishers. Planning is the default status for every item unless its parent item has already a different status from which it will copy the same. Flights in planning status can not be executed through ad tags and won’t show any creative.
status approved Approved An approved item will be shown to all relevant parties including publishers. Flights that are approved can be linked to creative items as well.
status online Online Online campaigns and flights have full access level permissions to all parties and literally appear in all modules within Brand Central. Ad tags will deliver the creative as long as it is linked and tracking reports will be available for all online, paused and completed flights and campaigns.
status paused Paused A paused campaign or flight is visible to everyone in Brand Central, however the creative ad tag will not show the actual ad but a random ad from a publisher or a simple spacer.gif picture. Flights can be toggled between paused and online status as well.
status completed Completed Completed flights and campaigns only appear in media planning (to change status) and reporting module and essentially hold archive data of completed campaigns.
status cancelled Cancelled Cancelled items that can only be changed to any of the above active status for further processing

The status of campaigns and flights can only be changed by authorised users in the media planning module within the Quick Flighting and Edit Campaign section.
